DRIVE C2X on the road to deployment

ERTICO – ITS Europe will celebrate a milestone towards the deployment of cooperative systems for a smart mobility: for the first time, European-wide results of field operational tests (FOTs) are available and will be presented during the DRIVE C2X final event.

The DRIVE C2X final event includes:

• a debate about the major outcomes of FOTs on cooperative systems for smart driving,
• a business modelling gaming session to plan together the road to deployment,
• a dedicated conference with Q&A sessions focusing on results, data collection and analysis methodologies,
• deployment strategies with Q&A sessions focusing on results, data collection and analysis methodologies,
• deployment strategies and future perspectives of communication technologies for automation,
• an exhibition featuring test tools used during the FOTs and
• drive-by demonstrations.

About DRIVE C2X:

DRIVE C2X is an Integrated Project co-funded by the 7the Framework Programme of the European Union to deploy a set of cooperative ITS functions at seven test sites in Europe in order to run Field Operational Tests. DRIVE C2X supports the development of standard compliant (EU mandate M/458) cooperative systems implementations as well as their integration into vehicles (cars and motorbike) and road side infrastructure. A FESTA based test methodology supports the assessment of cooperative driving based on Field Operational Test Data as well as user feedbacks.

DRIVE C2X created and harmonizes a European-wide field operational testing environment on cooperative systems; evaluates cooperative systems through impact assessment, technical evaluation and user acceptance; and promotes cooperative driving.
